fish people.

Navigating our day-to-day, there can be a constant note of trepidation threaded underneath even seemingly fun/friendly environments. Social situations both familiar and new alike can provoke anxiety, and it is impossible to fully understand what even your best friends are thinking. Michael Stewart's 'Fish People' series is a collection of close-up portraits taken with a fisheye lens. While the faces in the photos may be smiling, the distortion helps capture the discord between comfort and feelings of disorientation and second guessing what you see.
