Hideout

What says standup better than a brick wall and a spotlight? But seriously, the backdrop at the Hideout makes for a classic, clean backdrop and the lighting in there is fantastic. Additionally, with it being an intimate and well-packed venue, audience reaction (ie laughter) is picked up really well.

Mendoza Line

The Mendoza Line is another cozy, usually sold-out room where the audience's reaction will be picked up nicely in the video. It's also got a sweet backdrop of it's own: red velvet (for that old Hollywood flair).

The Gas

Taking place at one of Allston's landmark music venues, the sound system at the Gas is hard to beat. The space here is a bit larger than the previous two, which means room for wider shots, and for more people to fills your ears with their intoxicating laughter.

Cityside

A little more brick and coziness comes our way at Cityside where there's always a crowd having a little more fun than your average Monday. With better lighting than your average bar, a solid sound system, and a great crowd, Cityside is a great choice for your next tape.

Laugh Boston

As a full-time comedy club, Laugh Boston is tailor-made for standup. The lighting, sound system and eye-catching (but not distracting) backdrop are all superb and make for an amazing tape. If you perform here, be sure to get it on video.
